Titanium alloy is an alloy based on titanium with other elements added. There are two kinds of homogenous isocrystals of titanium: titanium is an isomer with a melting point of 1668℃and a densely packed hexagonal lattice structure below 882℃, which is called α- titanium;Above 882℃, it has a body-centered cubic character structure, known as β-titanium.Make use of the different characteristics of the above two structures of titanium, add appropriate alloying elements, make its phase transition temperature and component content gradually change and get different microstructure of titanium alloys.
According to its use, titanium alloy can be divided into heat resistant alloy, high strength alloy, corrosion resistant alloy (Ti-Mo, Ti-palladium alloy, etc.), low temperature alloy and special function alloy (Ti-iron storage material and Ti-nickel memory alloy).
